Has anyone successfully installed VMware View Client 4.0 on Ceedo? Even if I deselect the USB Redirection and the "Logon as current user", I still get an "error 1935" with words like "Assembly" and "Token" ...
I hope to get feedback ... |

VMWare will not install in Ceedo.

But it seems that this error 1935 isn't only related with VMware. I also have this error while installing the MS C++ Runtimes (2005, 2008 and 2010) and Visual J# Second Edition.
Searching with Google about this error number gives me the information that it is a problem about getting access to the assembly cache. I'm not a developer, but perhaps the guys from Ceedo knows something about this. |

Ceedo does not support the installation of device drives or services. Because of this, VMWare will not work with Ceedo, and I seriously doubt that the dev team is going to invest any time trying to make it work.

I think you missunderstood me. The problem is not only based on the VMware View Client, the error is also when you try to install the MS Visual C++ Runtimes or the Visual J# Runtimes, completely independent from VMware based products.

I'll look into the runtime installation issues this weekend and post my findings here.
Edit: I couldn't get either of the runtimes to install either, so I'm passing this to QA. Last edited by keith : 07-18-2010 at 04:42 AM. |

We've looked into this issue, McStarfighter, and there will be a fix for the Visual J# runtime in the next build, which I'm told will likely be out next week.
With regards to the C++ runtime, I've been informed that the installation is supposed to exit silently (no messages), so if that's what's happening, then it's normal (apparently). |

No, the C++ Runtimes get the same error like the Visual J#. Perhaps this issue will go away, too ...
