Hey,
So now that the hotfix is out and workin great, I can mention my other problems -- When I download files.
It seems to have a lot of trouble opening up the files. e.g., if I download a .doc file and it asks me to open in word, I say ok, and word gives an error about not being able to find the file. It gives the error:Word experienced an rror trying to open the file.
Try these suggestions.
* Check the file permissions for the document or drive.
* Make sure there is sufficient free memory and disk space.
* Open the file with the Text Recovery Converter.
(G:\My)I think the problem is indicated by the path, instead of saying G:\My Documents\filename.doc it is just getting the first part, so maybe something's getting lost somewhere in this case? But it only happens with word. I downloaded a text file into the same folder, and it opens fine in notepad. A PDF downloaded somewhere opens fine in Foxit..
Then I go to the download manager and hit the 'Open Containing Folder' option (right click in area of downloaded file), and instead of opening up a folder view, Internet Explorer opens up and tries to open/save the file. Huh?
Color me confused.. Any help/thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Hasta pronto,
