I got a ceedo external hard drive for storing my Sony HD camcorder's film and pictures and such. (it is an hdr-sr1 in case this is important). the camcorder came with software on a CD to load onto the computer for importing the files. there is one program that uploads only pictures and one that uploads both pictures and video (i don't know why, its kinda pointless) anyways when i have my hard drive plugged in only the picture importing tool pops up to upload picutres, not videos, whereas on the actual computer, the program that uploads both pictures and video opens. and i have tried dragging and dropping and such which doesn't work. ultimately, the external hard drive doesn't recognize the camcorder being plugged in to my computer to upload the videos even though it is obviously plugged in. do you have any advice?
