Dear Ceedo Users
Ceedo needs your help creating a knowledge base of applications supported by Argo.
Sharing this information will allow more users enjoy more applications running on Ceedo.
Please tell us about applications you installed using Argo.
Please indicate if it was a straight forward installation or you had to manually intervene and change/add anything to make the application work on Ceedo, Please indicate all these changes as well.
In addition we would like to create Localized Applications lists. So please indicate what languages each application supports.
If you post this in the Argo forum, Please open a separate thread for each application that its installation was not a "Straight Forward Installation" so forum members will be able to share information about these applications.
I would like to thank you for your efforts improving Ceedo.

As requested, follows the list of applications that I use and it's not in the Programs Directory.
1) Microsoft Money 2007 - This app works fine on the Ceedo drive, but it's a heavy application and it's a little bit slower than usual. The installation of the software works directly through ARGO, but Money 2007 requires Microsoft Sahred Libraries, and this didn't work with ARGO, so I had to manually install in the host PC. English only.
2) Garmin Mapsource - Works fine using Argo to install. English
3) Google Picasa 2 - Works fine using Argo to install. English, Dansk, Deutsch, English UK, Spanish, Franch, Italian, Nederlands, Norsk, Polski, Portuguese, Suomi, Svenska, Turkce, Russian, Chinese
4) CD Poker - Works fine using Argo to install. English, Italian, French, Deutsch
5) Bodog Poker - Works fine using Argo to install. English

I'm working on putting my list together. I am going to include the applications I'm currently running, as well as applications that I have run on my Ceedo drive that I'm not currently running, but keep available so that if needed, I can reinstall.
My list is a long one, so it'll be a while before I have it done.

1) Agendus for windows Outlook edition - I have to run Outlook 2003 via the Ceedo explore application in order for this to work, as it's basically a plug-in for Outlook. Installed using Agro - no problems =)
2) SOTI - Pocket Controller Professional - Installed fine with Agro. Runs great. Since I can't run activesync with Ceedo (Agro), I have to connect to this program via network IP address.
3) Spell Catcher Plus - installs fine with Agro and works very well.
4) TV Ants (p2p TV) - installed using Agro. I don't use it much, but it works well.
5) Yahoo Widgets - installs fine using Agro and widgets run well, but it's VERY SLOW to load compared to Yahoo Widgets for U3.

I am attempting to install a program called Express Digital. It installs fine, gives me a shortcut and everything, but upon initial install it installs files to c:\windows\system32 folder, possible a couple more in the same general area. I will look for an install log to find out where else. If I go to a different computer the program will not work. Those files are necessary drivers for the program, I will try to copy them over to my ceedo drive to see if I can get the program to work.
Most of the files do install on my ceedo, just not the dll's and files for printing (this is a photo editing and printing program).
This is my first try at Argo, I used the Argo interface to run the setup.exe, but it still installed the drivers to the OS drive. I will update if I get it to work, if anybody has any suggestions, feel free to contact me.
Thanks and keep up the good work.

I have got the following running well :-)
2Connect (mindmapping program from 2Simple)
Camtasia Studio 3 (screen capture)
KompoZer (ftp/webpage - based on and better than NVU)
MAGIX Movie maker 11 (but got an error when used on different computer)
Readplease 2003 (freeware and Plus - text readers)
RealVNC
Treesize (folder size)
XnView (freeware graphics)
PrimoPDF
FTP Commander
GuildFTPd (ftp server)
Juice (podcast feed)
tinybox (front end for tiny.exe, a webpage server)
IcoFX 1 (icon editor)
CorelDRAW 7 (old graphics)
Advanced IP Scanner
ATF-Cleaner
Audacity (audio editor)
Things that have crashed and burned for me - but could be due to some flakey registry issues I've had so might be worth another try.
Serif MoviePlus 4
Serif WebPlus 6
VideoLAN (freeware media player/streamer)
Things the didn't work, can understand why probably wouldn't but would be great to have...
Check Point VPN-1 SecureClient (for remote desktop access authentication)
Hi!
In addition to some of the programs already posted I have the following running with no problems. It would be great if all the apps which are working on ceedo were listed in one location with their web site and a brief discription. I rely on foldermatch to keep my files in sync between several machines and for data backup.
Smart Pix Manager 9.0
www.xequte.com (http://www.xequte.com)
Smart Pix Manager is a powerful, but easy-to-use solution for the management and viewing of all common images, documents, sound (WMA, MP3, etc) and video files (AVI, MPEG, etc). Quickly browse the folders of your computer, or search your files using keywords, descriptions and file content. Click any file to view it immediately or display a sequence of images, sounds and videos as a slideshow.
FolderMatch 3.4.8
www.foldermatch.com (http://www.foldermatch.com)
FolderMatch is a fast and easy way to stay in sync. Choose from any of eight different ways to compare your files - from the simple date/time method to the advanced 160-bit Secure Hash Algorithm. Differences are shown side-by-side in a graphical, easy to understand manner. Synchronize the files with a button click.

ATM I can say, the following apps are working fine on my Ceedo:
Mozilla Sunbird 0.51
WS_FTP Professional 2007
Winamp Pro 5.35
Nullsoft Installation System (NSIS) 2.29
Pidgin 2.0.1 (aka Gaim)
WinSCP 4.x
These aren't the only apps I installed, but the others are still written in the Argi List or by another post of this thread...
I've found only two that work:
MailWasher Pro
http://www.firetrust.com/
Great for managing messages on the server and bouncing spam. Works well on home PCs but not from heavily firewalled work terminals.
and the Amazing Slow Downer
http://www.ronimusic.com/
A nifty little app that allows you to change the tempo of music without distorting the pitch, designed to help musicians learn new tunes. It also allows pitch variation and some channel isolation.
I know it'll never happen, but some apps I'd love to use from a portable drive are:
FinePrint, a virtual print driver that provides 2, 4 and 8-up impositions plus effortless booklet printing, job files, and collation of multiple jobs (web pages, for instance) with efficient page resizing;
iTunes; and
Adobe Photoshop - even one of the lite versions - and InDesign.

Straight Foward:
Opera 9.24
Restorator 2006
ASpell Dictionaries
RAD Video Tools (Bink and Smacker)
Toni Renili's Cab maker
Tweak UI - not yet tested on other PCs
Adobe Flash Player
Had some problems, but installed:
Sony ACID 6.0c Pro
Don't know all languages, but ACID is in English & Japanese; and Opera, and ASpell are in most all languages.

I was able to successfully install Quicken Premiew 2008 with Argo today (it took a while to un-install Quicken 2005 Deluxe, which I was able to install a few months ago). The comments in the forum about referring to the ".msi" file in the Argo box was very useful.
(BTW - the process for posting a useful piece of information is very time consuming - I didn't do it the first time I got Quicken working due to the process. It might be worthwhile to let "guests" post replies to at least some of the discussion threads.)

Was there anything you had to do to tweak the install? Did you have to use the dot net Framework app to help you install Quicken? I have tried to load Quicken Premier 2008 and get multiple errors on the install.

Adobe FrameMaker 7.2
Nothing special and seems to work fine - tested it but no serious work with it yet. Note: Was connected to a machine that did NOT have FrameMaker already installed - may be relevant (see below).
Adobe Captivate 3
Seems to be fine - tested but no serious work with it yet. Failed to install originally - had to install from a machine that didn't already have Captviate installed already or it failed with an error and rolled back otherwise. Error message in attached image.

1) Agendus for windows Outlook edition - I have to run Outlook 2003 via the Ceedo explore application in order for this to work, as it's basically a plug-in for Outlook. Installed using Agro - no problems =):D
UPDATE: I haven't used Agendus or outlook with my Ceedo drive, but when I try to run outlook now via the ceedo explorer, I get the following error:
"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. MAPI32.dll is corrupt or the wrong version. "
I can run outlook through windows normally.
Any suggestions?
