That's it in a nutshell...Is this possible?

VMWare?
VirtualBox?

I saw something a while back about WINE. Has anyone tried it?

Thanks

I haven't tried this yet, but I might be persuaded to. Maybe at some point this weekend if I can find the time. :)

All bribe offerings will be considered. :D

I don't see any reason why Ceedo wouldn't run in VMWare or VirtualPC (as long as XP or Vista is used in the virtual pc) after all, those programs emulate an entire PC so the OS is none the wiser about it running in a virtual PC and not a real one.

The USB stack in the virtual operating system would be my concern, some virtual os programs dont get the usb to work well, I would suggest trying in VMware, its a bit more reliable for usb compared to ones like VirtualPC

Hi,

running ceedo with an virtual system works fine.
And why it shouldn't ?

If you need USB drives please take a look at vmware 2.x
There is USB support available.

May I ask you why you are trying to do this ?

Andy,

Thanks for the tip on VMWare2.x. The last time I played with it, USB support was on the "It's coming" list.

I just got an itch to install the latest Ubuntu distro to try and wean myself off of XP. Using Ceedo was one of the "Must Haves" that has kept me on XP up until now.

I figured I'd doulbe check here prior to getting all the way into it and discovering that it didn't work.
