Net Framework installation errors

Hi,
I tried to install Net Framework 3.5 on my ceedo drive version 2.7.0.8 but I have the following errors:

02/14/09,01:40:39] Optional Component 'Microsoft .Net Framework 3.0': [2] CGenericComponent::Install() expects the setup file for Optional Component 'Microsoft .Net Framework 3.0' but fails to get it
[02/14/09,01:40:40] setup.exe: [2] ISetupComponent::Pre/Post/Install() failed in ISetupManager::InternalInstallManager() with HRESULT -2147467259.
[02/14/09,01:40:50] WapUI: [2] DepCheck indicates Optional Component 'Microsoft .Net Framework 3.0' is not installed.

Any suggestions ?

Tell us what the operating system is on the computer your tying to install the .net framework on running your Ceedo and Argo. :)

Have you put on the previous .Net framework 2.0 + 3.0 before the 3.5? (it may not be necessary but can help) if your running Vista SP1, you should retry the install using a 32bit XP home or professional computer.

My OS is Windows vista SP1 and on the ceedo drive I have not installed any version of the Net Framework....

...I tried to install net fw3.5 on my notebook with windws xp but I got the same error..

Clexidra, these two questions will help the forum solve your problem:
First question: What version of Ceedo are you running? You can find the Ceedo version number by right-clicking on the Ceedo tray icon and left-clicking on "About."

Second question: Have you tried downloading the .NET 3.5 redistributable installer from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=333325fd-ae52-4e35-b531-508d977d32a6&DisplayLang=en and using Argo to install it before attempting the ExpressionWeb installation?

I will look through the forums for other solutions while you see if the redistributable installed from an xp host helps, what give us your version info :)

very important information:
If anyone is still having problem installing .Net FrameWork 3.5 on the latest Ceedo (2.6.0.22) - an issue with the installation can rise if you have MSXML installed on the host.
A workaround exists - you can uninstall it from the host PC, restart your PC and than the installation will work.

This is a known issue for us and we are currently working on a solution.
I forgot but this known issue actually gave me a little touble getting the .Net 3.5 on.
Goto your Program & Features/Add remove programs in your Control Panel, see if the MSXML is installed, if so, remove it, then try the redistributable for .Net 3.5 again, problem should be solved (hopefully) :)

With the one in the quote by Keith, the one aboce, and Shy's Notification, you should have your problem sorted.
Just remember: remove MSXML 6/5/4ect and/or any MSXML Parser's which may show up in your Installed programs list for your Windows.
