Hello,
On Ceedo web site I can see :
"Current Ceedo users:
Version 2.6 is now available for updates! "
I had purchase Ceedo Personal & Argo, I think I'm a "Ceedo user" but I don't find where it's possible to download the update...
Is anybody can help me please ?
I'm searching some "theme" for Ceedo, is anybody know where is it possible to get it ?
Thanks in advance...
Best regards
Paul

Paul,
If you have automatic updates enabled and set to "Always," Ceedo should update to the latest version when it launches. Please post here if it doesn't and I'll pass the issue along.

It seems that somebody posted the update notification in the wrong area on the website. This was intended for Ceedo Enterprise, not Personal. Sorry about that.

Hello Keith,
Thank you for your anwser.
Which theme did you use, Paul? You did say that the theme(s) that Kevin posted worked, right?
The theme that Kevin has posted is "CeedoRes_BlackWave.dll".
I put it on "\Ceedo\Ceedo\Themes\" directory.
For use it, I'm going on Ceedo Menu, click on "Options", then click on "Appearance" button, then in Temes section click on the popup menu and choose "Black Wave", then click "OK" and the change come ...
The Theme(s) that you have posted are not the same.
For example, "Seagate_theme" content is :
- \Ceedo\Ceedo\ArgoRes.dll
- \Ceedo\Ceedo\CeedoRes.dll
- \Ceedo\SmartPlayer\brand.DLL
I have to replace original DLL by ArgoRes.dll, CeedoRes.dll, brand.DLL, and when I start Ceedo, there is just the Ceedo logo on the Windows XP tray, and after some time a Windows XP error report come ...
"Seagate_theme" make Ceedo crash.
"black_theme" and "blue_theme" now don't make Ceedo crash ...
Best regards.

Paul,
I believe the issue with the Seagate theme is happening because the Brand.dll file is outdated, and incompatible with the version of Ceedo you are using right now.

Brando, the only themes that Ceedo have released are the blue, black, and Seagate theme. I remember that quite a while ago, one of the forum members created a theme, but I can't remember exactly who it was.

At this point you can only have one theme at a time installed. Ceedo may or may not implement more themes down the line, or multiple themes, but this is very low priority.

I'm not agree with you ...
If you used the original Ceedo theme, and put "CeedoRes_BlackWave.dll" on "\Ceedo\Ceedo\Themes\" directory, it's possible to change the Ceedo theme really easily...
Go in "Options", then "Appearance", then in Themes aera "Change the visual style of Ceedo windows and menus:", click on the "pop-up" and you can choose "Classic Blue" or "Black Wave", when your choice is done, click "OK", and the change will operate...
I've tested that with Ceedo 2.5.1.32..., it's work very fine...

Hi to all,
I am sorry to say that you cannot use the Mobility-Office brand or change it either. The licence mechanisem of Mobility-Office is different to the Ceedo one. If you try to change anything on the version or use it on another Ceedo version it will lock down.

Leave whatever CeedoRes.Dll you have in your \Ceedo Directory
goto the \Ceedo Directory and make a new folder and call it Themes
Get your second CeedoRes (The other theme) and paste it into the Themes Directory, then, right click on your Ceedo icon in your system tray (bottom right corner) and choose exit. Launch Ceedo again, and in options the themes dropdown box will let you choose between the two themes.
A few suggestions are:
1) Dont move the (original) CeedoRes into the Themes directory, even if it finds the DLL it will break all the default icons of your theme (which isnt good), so you must leave one of the theme CeedoRes.dll's in the Ceedo directory and it must still be named 'CeedoRes.Dll' but all the rest can go into \Ceedo\Themes
2) Don't try to launch Ceedo.exe directly from the \Ceedo Directory, it may not work and cause you to worry, use your desktop shortcuts or the Start Ceedo.exe in the root directory of your usb drive.
3) To keep track of your themes in the Themes directory, you can name them what you like, to be safe I do as posted by polimero (considering also he knew this first) and i name mine for example CeedoRes_Blackwave.dll and so on.
well thats about it, as long as you leave the default ceedores.dll in its right place with teh right name you shouldnt have any trouble making another folder and putting a file into it :)

No problem, I'm stoked i can hot swat between the Classic Blue and the Black Wave theme now!! but unfortunatly I can confirm, this themes folder does not work for the seagate theme, probably because it requires the brand.dll file somewhere too.. maybe a dev can comment.
anyhoo, if i get a chance today, i'm gonna tinker with the argores.dll, brand.dll, ceedores.dll for the seagate theme and try to get it to hotswap without crashing, if i manage to do this i'll post up a howto, (I am greedy, I want the choice of all 3 themes bwhahaha) :P

Well my flash drive did a auto update this morning to Ceedo Version 2.6.0.22 and it had the black theme and then I thought I wanted the blue theme, so I downloaded version 2.7.0.8, then I thought I kind of liked the black theme better, guess I'm never happy:D Well now I have both, thanks to you, I don't know what the Seagate theme looks like, but I'm going to bookmark this post to see what you come up with, the best of luck

About the seagate theme: it turns out the theme may not be running right because of how old a version it actually is, trying to run it on the latest was a long shot, for starters it doesnt have any resource to use the docking option and only has resources for the classic bar option, even using this option would just stop crashes, it still didnt look or run right, I may be missing a resource file it could need more then the 3 dll's however i rekon its just due to how it was made for such an old version. So I'm not going to bother going further with that.
One tip i have for the themes, is if you also put your argo res dll's in the themes folder it will swap argo's theme accordingly aswell.
ie; ArgoRes_theme2.dll + Ceedores_theme2.dll will swap together.
I also worked out that you need the names you can't use any name it must have the start of what filename its intended for, i beleve the code uses a wildmask even for the themeing like this; 'look for 'themes'" look for themes\Ceedores*.dll and so on. putting the brand .dll didnt seem to make a difference but i did it anyway.
Jim: heres what the seagate theme looks like:

Great tips, Qwerty.
I tried your suggestion with Ceedo Enterprise. Unfortunately, the shorter EAM in CE causes issues with icon displacement when applying thems that were created for CP. :) I'm thinking maybe I'll switch back to CP for a while to play with the theming thing.

I guess I don't understand what the ArgoRes.dll does, it doesn't seem to make any difference if I put it in the Themes folder or not, I don't see it change anything

Yep, that is Correct, I actually should have typed the paths out '\Ceedo\Ceedo\Themes' but... I was at work, hehe so didn't have all my concerntration directed at my posts.
I use the Ceedo Personal, Enterprise may act differently as mentioned, I dont know how brand.dll ties in with the theme in any way but to be on the safe side, I got the brand.dll from the blackwave theme and named it Brand_Blackwave.dll and put it in my smart player and also in my themes directory, can't hurt right. :)
anyhoo, here are some pics so you can get a visual of what i just said above!!

Keep in mind that the Freeagent tools only comes with a Seagate Freeagent hard drive, and more specifically the kind in the pic of the Freeagent tools, their new 'silvery' ones may not bundle it or Ceedo. (I believe they dont)
Screenshots of Argo skinned and origional (So you can see what it does):
Classic Blue:
http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii226/qwertylesh/Ceedo%20-%20Program%20Virtualisation/Argo-classicblue.jpg
and Black wave:
http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii226/qwertylesh/Ceedo%20-%20Program%20Virtualisation/Argo-blackwave.jpg
If you have yours like mine which you do, it changes argo's theme for you aswell as when it changes ceedo's. You'll probably notice it does the same for yours :)
IMHO, blackwave looks better!
