Remove extension

Well i added a extension i was using a portable software. How do i remove it? I accidentally put it in a weird folder where it should not be.

Open an Explorer window. On the menu bar at the top, click on Tools. From the menu, select Folder Options.

When the folder options opens up, click on the View tab.

Uncheck the box labeled, "Hide extensions for known file types." Click OK.

Rename the file, and remove the extension.
