I downloaded Ecco Pro from this URL together with a patch that has been released for it: http://supportweb.netmanage.com/ts_viewnow/downloads/patchesUnsupported/ecco.asp, and attempted to install it in Ceedo using the Argo application installer. The installation failed.
I then copied both the installation and patch files over to the Ceedo My Documents folder and attempted the installation from there (after opening My Documents from the Ceedo Easy Access menu). Both files installed fine. The only "error" dialog I received was "Installer has been unable to detect a valid installation of the U.S. Robotics Pilot Desktop software. Please install the Pilot Desktop prior to instlaling the ECCO conduits." I saw this dialog when installing both Ecco Pro and the patch.
Clicking OK closed this dialog and got the "installation complete" dialog. Again, this happened with the installation of both files.
The program group for Ecco Pro that was placed in the Easy Access menu had the following shortcuts, all of which launched correctly: ECCO 4.0 Help, ECCO 4.0 Technical Information, ECCO Pro Readme, Internet Address Book, NetManage ECCO 4.0 and Uninstall NetManage ECCO 4.0.
I did not do a search for the Pilot Desktop software.
Having never used Ecco Pro, I'm not sure if there is anything missing from the installation as I just described it, but from what I can see, Ecco Pro does work in the latest public beta, 2.5.1.25.
